Planning a City-wide Exhibition in Rochester, NY

Street art, aka the post graffiti movement, is recognized as any art developed in public spaces—that is “in the streets.” We place the scope of the natural expression of unsanctioned art into a conventional gallery context to enlighten and educate the viewing public on the capability of fine art to stand in a non-art subtext. Street art or post graffiti has been applied to contemporary public space artwork in order to distinguish its fine art application from territorial graffiti, vandalism, or corporate advertisements.

With a team of four others, we planned and organized a city-wide exhibition the likes of which Rochester had never seen before.
